1. Is copper an environmentally-friendly material?
Copper features high heat conductivity, which protects it from heat shocks, and is resistant to corrosion and bumps. If periodically maintained and suitably kept it can last practically forever.
And as if this wasn’t enough, it can be melted down and used to make new pots and pans or electrical cables.

2. Why use copper pans for cooking?
Nothing beats copper cookware for rapid and uniform heat conduction.
Copper pots and pans are ideal for preparing exquisite meat roasts and stews, risottos, polenta, fish and puddings. And they are so beautiful you can take them straight to the table.

3. Is copperware safe to put food in?
Tin-lined copper cookware is perfectly hygienic and safe to put food in because it is completely non-reactive, well within the limits prescribed by the World Health Organization.
Our manufacturing process complies with all the applicable regulations: Pres. Decree 777/1982 (EEC Directive 76/893); Leg. Decree 108/1992 (EEC Directive 89/109); Leg. Decree 155/1997 (EEC Directive 93/43 and 96/3) on the hygiene of foodstuffs.

4. How do I clean copper cookware?
Despite the myths surrounding this issue, it is quite easy to clean and maintain copper cookware. To keep your copper pots and pans clean and shiny it is sufficient to wash them with soap and water and then polish them with a mixture of maize meal, vinegar and coarse salt, or with special products for polishing copper. A recommendation is not to wash our products with abrasive substances or scouring pads, in order not to scratch the tin lining. After use the tin tends to darken for natural reasons. This, however, does not affect its protective functions.

5. What’s the difference between stainless-steel-lined and tin-lined copperware?
Stainless-steel-lined copper pans probably require less maintenance than tin-lined ones, but it is known for a fact that the steel lining impairs the qualities of copper. Besides, the stainless steel lining cannot be renewed when damaged.

6. Can the moulds be used?
Moulds can be used for making puddings and desserts, especially for children’s parties, because they are tin-lined by hand with tin that is guaranteed for use with foodstuffs.
